Pink Lip Diaries

Earlier today I walked by a photography crit at school and it made me want to take some shots. I really enjoyed my photography classes last year. I plan to post my work from those B&W photography classes soon, so stay tuned!
Anyhow, So I did some self portraits pictures today, that I call "Pink Lip Diaries".
Why Pink Lip Diaries?
It's not supposed to be super deep or anything. But if there is an explanation, it would be this:
Always at night in my bed that is when my most dramatic thoughts come. I tend to keep those thoughts inside myself because well, I don't keep an actual diary. So they stay in my head. And in general a bold pink lip represents me. If you can pull of a bold lip, your not afraid of makeup...thats me. Put the two together and there you go.

For the makeup I used of course the BEST EYELINER IN THE WORLD hands down!!(lol) Which is Stila's Stay All Day waterproof eyeliner pen. If there is a must have in your makeup bag, it is this! That eyeliner stays on until you take it off and it is perfect for cat eyes. For the bold pink lip I used the O.C.C. lip tar which is super hot pink, im talkin electric pink! It's actually way more pink in person, but i chose to edit the tones of the pics for the luminous effect...take a look =)

MUA at Maggnolia Look Book

I was the MUA at the photoshoot for Maggnolia's jewlery look book back in December of last year. I never got to blog about it, since I just recently started my blog, so here we go!
Maggnolia is a line of gorgeous jewlery created by Maggi Simpkins. Here's her link, check it out!

The Photographer for the shoot was also amazing. I really enjoy his work! Its very artistic and I enjoy his use of lighting. Check it out for yourself http://ajabajianphotography.com/

Here is the face chart I chose along with the products I used. The look was natural, pretty to match the bohemian vibe of the shoot.

Here are some of the pictures from the look book below:

Amazing Hidden Makeup Brand

As a makeup junkie and a Pro artist I tend to use all different kinds of brands. As should everyone, don't stick to one brand for it all because you will miss out! There are a lot of Makeup brands that the average American consumer does not know about. And the reason I say American is because many brands are extremely popular in other countries, especially Europe and in Middle Eastern countries. Here in the states all you hear constantly is women living and dying over MAC cosmetics. MAC is great and all, but it is NOT the only great brand out there! In fact, many brands have better products for cheaper. One brand for example, I personally came across a brand called Inglot at the Makeup Show LA a couple months ago. Inglot is a Polish makeup line. I fell deeply in love with their eye shadows, which have intense pigment and beautiful colors. One can create their own customized "Freedom Palletes" of eyeshadow, blushes, and lip colors. Today I went in to the Newport Beach location and had a ball picking out my pallet of 20 eyeshadows. I treated my selction like I do when setting up my paint pallets. (Neutrals, Warm colors, cool colors, and complimentary colors)
20 colors for only $95!!! That's amazing, most consumer brands with that many eyeshadows AND the pallet would be around $300 or more! Great purchase =)

I couldn't help myself and not start playing already! I did this look super fast. When you have pigments that show up how you want then to, it is way less work and takes less time. I also used the shadows for my brows, highlighter, contour, and blush!
